View Full Version : What Tyres To Fit????

What tyres are best suited to the SV650s? I had Dunlpos on my NSR and changed to Bridgestone Battlax on recommendation and they were the nuts. I had lots of confidence in them and they had good grip in all weathers. Obvisously a NSR is completely different to the SV, so whats best to kit them out with? Baring in mind that I've done a fair amount of engine work to the bike and it has destroyed the Avons that came with the bike. Is anything up to the challenge?

Z6 seems to be the recomendation at the moment.

Metz Z6's seem to be the tyres of choice... So much so, I've just had some - I'm waiting for delivery ;)

Have a butchers at the 'Tyres' section for info :wink:

Also Pirelli Diablo's are quality... Bridgestone BT 014's are supposed to be OK too :!:

done a bit more research and have decided to get the 014's fitted. will let everyone know how they fair as and when i got them scrubbed in

Z6 is what most people im speaking to are saying. I have BT 020 on my sv and they have been great. Any of the battle ax range will go nicly with the SV. Will be moving to the Z6 next month though!

Before you do, have a chat with 'justmacsv' he's got some fitted & he isn't that pleased with them...

A few months back I had Pirelli Diablo's fitted. Never looked back, excellent tyres. Especially good in the wet.
