i have an 03 svs, i droped it the other day casue i didn't put the kickstand down all the way, and it fell on it's left side. Now my problem, when i put the handlebars straight, the wheel is turned just a little, is this an easy fix, or should i bring it in to a shop??

It sounds like your wheel allignment is off, generally quite an expensive thing to get done at a garage because its time consuming .. But I believe its quite an easy job to do yourself. Theres loads of information around on this, Infact I think RIDE did an article on this a few months back. Have a look in the haynes manual it should have something in there too.

Its easily done (the side stand thing, not the wheel alignment). I dropped my RS125 the same way, fortunately there wasn't any damage, unfortunately it was out side my local shops at what must have been thier busiest day, total embarrassment.

Hope the forks / wheel alignment is okay.

Might just be that the clip on has twisted a little. It is clamped to the fork leg and bolted to the underside of the top yoke. It can still twist a little though. Loosen the clamp bolt and the bolt onder the top yoke and twist the clip on to the required position. Hold it there and clamp everything up. It will only move a few degrees but it may be enough to straighten you all up again.

I wouldn't imagine the forks have twisted in the yokes, but this is pretty easy to sort as well. Try the clip on first and if this doesn't work, me or someone else will probably quote how to sort the forks. Basically, though, loosen the pinch bolts on the bottom yoke, bounce the suspension, nip it all back up again.

Just a quick add on question here

When a had a run in with a crazy lady last year, somethin i didnt notice until the SV came out of hibernation last month, was that the front wheel was slightly offset from the mudguard (doesnt line up properly) and when i take right hand turns, the front wheel seems to dip (very scary in the wet) could this fork twisty thing that has been discussed be whats causing me problems too?
