my SV its fine ! i love it ! BUT
at around 4- 7 RPM i get a slight buzz in the front light (around that place lol).. its not to loud but i cant hear it over the egnine (standard lol)is realy anoying! .. just wondering if its normal for a SV or what?
ive just got the bike 4000 miles second hand from good owner
thank oyu please for any help !
rob
:( no that's not normal, Sounds like a vibration, you may have a loose bolt or screw, put the bike in neutral and rev it, listen out for the sound and place your other hand on diffrent parts of the front of the bike ie, plastics or headlight or clock's... when the sound goes thats what's loose.
sorry if teach in ya to suck egg's.
p.s. Or it could Bee......
Mine has one of them too. I found its the plastic clock trim that goes towards the front sidelight under the screen that vibrates. If i rev the bike i can see it vibrate. BTW mines a curvy model, not sure it the trim on the new shape is the same.

Not sure of a fix yet 'cos i haven't triead one. All i've done for now is jam a piece of foam in there. I will have a look next time I have the fairing off. If you sort it before me let me know.

i've had similar, could be a vibrating screen, i've got a double bubble that didn't seem to sit too well, fixed it with some wire outer casing.
fairing is fairly simple to remove, get a haynes manual if you'll be attempting bigger jobs too :)

i have the same problem sice being reversed into and tried doing the above (revving and holding various b its of plastic) but i'll be dammed if i can find that rattle
i have that too, seems to be at certain revs about 5k or so. thought it was my key at first but after holding it down, found it wasnt.

i think i might have fixed it .... i took most of the fairng off (soo difficult so many bolts :? ) and the screen and i found some laminate flooring underlay my dad had abandoned and i ripped off about 2 ft but 3 ft and shoved it all around the top light bolted it all back together and i think it is ok........
..there’s also a little area where the fairing is about 2 mm from part of the reinforcement bars ( if that’s what they are called) i slipped a piece in there too .... its alround the same area ... i shoved loads in lol
i didnt have time to go for a ride but when i go to college tomorrow ill put a post on how it is....
but still ive had a faired bike b 4 and i could take the whole fairings off in no time .. this one took ages! im gona hate it when it comes to changeing bulbs or is thire a easier way ? :? wel hope ive fixed it
