wow :D
I just changed to Carol Nash & managed to get mine down by just over £100, and that included Breakdown/Accident recovery & European cover which the old policy (with Norwich Onion) didn't cover.
There is nothing worse than speaking to someone in what sounded like a call centre in Bombay, who has no idea what you're talking about, and had to refer to a supervisor to find out what a pillion is
Yep got Carol Nash too, were the only company who would insure me when I bought my GSXR 750 last year at a fair price
But I did not have break down cover then as it came with the bike, still should not add too much to the price............
It's cos they read your post on here about speeding  :D

Just gone over to Carole Nash from Bennetts... £460 instead of £465 for comp, but Nash included breakdown, europe, riding other bikes (3rd party) and legal cover... all of those cost extra or weren't available with Bennetts... even though both policies were with Equity red star :?

I'm insured with Motorcycle direct. Bennetts wanted £1600 ish for TPFT on my 99' Nekked  .
Motorcycle direct wanted £300   .
Thats with Breakdown,Pillion, Europe but no other bikes (how many people own 33Bhp's anyway  ).
yup motorcycle direct 2 riders 36 yoa 0 ncb 9 points on one g52 2001 650s £396.75 i was well impressed.....hip hip horray :riding:
£170 fully comp (£250 xcess) inc breakdown, europe, riding other bikes (3rd party) and legal cover - could be something to do with me age.
Noone else would quote below the £200 including the european breakdown cover.

Looks like I'm about to go with Carole Nash, waiting for a Bike Team and Bikesure quote back... Equote (I think) kindly offered me £1400 with a £500 excess third party fire and theft :)
I've found that no-one gets even remotely close to Biketeam given my details/bike/history. OK, so I have to purchase breakdown separately (NCI are cheap) but even wil this added Biketeam are £200 cheaper than the next best of the rest.

Just renewed my policy with Bennets, £280 fully comp but that includes stuff like breakdown cover, legal expenses and roadside accident cover. The best thing is though that Bennets must have been so happy to get my repeat business that the same day my certificate arrived, they sent me a second one absolutely free!!!

Quite a lot of companies seem to use the same staff for cars and bikes, and the staff aren't always all that clued up on cars either... I was trying to go through the modifications on my bike with one poor girl at Rampdale (I think) yesterday, and I was trying to exmplain about the cams...
"So what are they?"
"Well, it's a part of the engine"
"What's the effect"
"It makes a little more power"
"Right... I'll list it under Turbocharger then"
And another company, I forget which
"The bike has an Ohlins rear shock fitted"
"What's that then"
"It's a rear shock. Made by Ohlins."
"Oh right then, so is that to lower the bike then?"
"No, it's to make it handle better"
"But it doesn't lower it?"
"No"
"Oh well, i don't think we need to know about it"
"Yes you do, it'd cost £450 to replace"
"Just for suspension?"
"YES!"
"Well I'd better list it as lowered then"

Have been with Carole Nash for about 4 years now, very hard to better the package they offer.
try these - new company who seem to be making some fuss with the cheapness of their policies

Carole Nash - £168 TPFT - EBike - £79 - with race can, etc !!!

I just got a quote from eBike as well, I think I'll probably be going with them come October.
In fact, their quote for an SV1000S FC was quite bearable, so...
