Mondello BSB

Heading to Mondello in the morning for my 1st BSB.
Anyone else going?
1st. time to a BSB event.

Should be an excellent weekend and the weather look superb.

I go to the Knockhill BSB round every year but this year will be the first time I go on a bike.

Have you got the Inspired to ride booklet from TWO magazine? it gives you the layout of all the BSB tracks and where the best place to stand is at each round. They say that at Mondello you should go to the banking around bend 10, Dunlop.

How did you get on at Mondello GC?

Had a fantastic weekend.
Enjoyed the qualifying while supping a Guiness or 2 at the circuit bar.
Camped over on the Saturday night, had a BBQ and a few more beers, then up and off to the circuit about 1/4 mile away.
Puts in the notion to do a bit of camping more often, although we have been fortunate enough to have had good weather any time we camp. (me, brother and my 2 lads).

The weather was like Spain (almost) and the racing was superb.
Those guys make it look so smooth and at least theres a bit of overtaking.
I follow F.1 and overtaking there is few and far between.
The other thing about these events as opposed to F.1 is the access you get in the paddock and pits.
You can dander around and spot all the top riders and on Sunday there is the autograph session where they are happy to meet the paying punter/supporter.

All in all an excellent weekend.
