Front brake switch?

Right rear brake switch works, but front dont. got lever off and im looking at a micro switch, can i test the switch how? what shal i check? any ideas?

I predict that the wee stalk that sticks out of the switch body had broken off? Mine snapped in the 10 miles from my house to the MOT testers :evil: But they passed me anyway :lol:

no the micro switch just seemed jamed, gave it a push and was back to normal :D
