Whats the best type of shock to use on the SV. This may be opening up a whole can of worms or it may be a simple (this one)...
I was looking at the WP shocks but can't really make head nor tail of the descriptions ....
So whats best to look for in a shock and which would work best for someone in the 12st weight class <<-- (asking for a friend :wink: )

I'd also be interested in answers to the same question, for a 14 stone 'friend', ta.
I got Ohlins rear shocks and Ohlins front springs, and they did make a hell of a difference for me. I feel more confident now whereby with the originals I always had the feeling the rear will go in corners. Bike was only 3 months old when I changed them.

Have you declared them to your insurer? If so, did it affect your premium much? Cheers.

Do shock and spring modifications need to be declared? I would imagine so- if you shoehorned something inappropriate in, it's not unfeasible that it might contribute to/cause and accident.
That said, you could badly botch (or leave stock :lol:) the settings on the stock suspension and that would cause some peculiar handling when riding.

Penske seem to have the best rep amongst the SV Rider guys... They pretty much sneer at us Ohlins users :roll: :wink:
You need to declare it because as well as possibly being a safety issue, it makes the bike more desirable and therefore nickable.
