I can understand that one should be seen in the presence of higher management to get noticed and be observerved as a suitable promotion candidate, but most leaving do's generally turn into rather drunken affairs anyway.

there's about half a dozen (maybe more) travelling from Wales on the day. Me, Mogs, Valleyboy, Welshwop, Mass to name but a few.
Jelster is probably underestimating ate around 40. I'd add 50% to that figure.

You have to take into account the "no shows" on the day, normally about 25% on an event like this.

ill be there but will be pillion cant be bothered riding all the way down sat and all the way home sunday so driving down and dropping kids in nottingham (hopefully) then down to surrey, leave lunchtimish to get to campsite.

I will be down, but i am not able to stay at the relatives house...so i am now stuck for accomodation.....i am going on a massive detour from Portsmouth to Coventry...possibly coming down on the saturday... anyone know any bins i can sleep in?

Well, due to babysitting, new job and a few other happenings, I can only make it up on sunday morning so thats sort of scuppered my plans to camp over on saturday night :cry:

BBC website says Thur/Fri/Sat as partly/cloudy otherwise sunny and dry.
Weather.co.uk says same for Sunday.
Unless you're talking about a different sort of wet? :wink:

i never thought of going to the local cop shop.........its probably a little house somewhere in the middle of nowhere...
i might need a beer saturday night but i don't want to risk it in case it goes down too easily (last thing i would want is it to turn into a power drinking session lol....then there is no way i could ride the next day)
I was looking at the travel lodge....£47 saturday night...sleeps 4 adults....anyone else thinking of this????
Let me know...on your own its expensive but with a few peeps....it could get cosy pmsl :lol:

Im still a maybe Im afraid. I'll try and get there for the start (won't be camping - must go out the previous evening and celebrate the occasion of my birthday) and as a last resort, you might all see me somewhere en-route.
However, I'll probably not make it so will wish everyone a good time now.

Well I am bringing a two man tent that sleeps 3 easily. You are welcome to share my tent. There is a possibility that Mrs Ape won't be attending anyway as the littlest Ape has tonsillitis and isn't to well.
I have now acquired a second tent on loan from next door, so Fraser now has accommodation, and you never know he might find someone to share with him :wink: :wink: :lol:
