do i need to adjust my chain if i take a passenger?
someone mentioned preload adjustment but i don't know how to do that.

The pre-load is on the rear shock, the chain shouldn't need adjustment :wink:

I'd say the vast majority of people who take pillions don't adjust a thing (me included), you can adjust bits and bobs - suspension, tyre pressure - but I'd only bother doing that if you plan to take pillions often - you'll only have to change it back again for riding on your own.
