At least Eurovision had Terry Wogan commentating (wonder if he would have made the soccer better?)

made me laugh in Australia. They take it so seriously and are huge fans. So much so there was an uproar the year we were out there about Terry Wogans irreverant commentary.
In the end, they sent 2 commentators from Australia to do the commentary instead of people getting so upset by Wogans comments... :D
They didnt get it when I said no-one took it seriously or that the French would never vote for us because of politics etc. So so funny trying to explain that to them
Eurovision is ****e every year.... the footie was entertaining !!

yeah I was gobsmacked when they advertised its screening when I was there. But you gotta remember Australia has a lot of european descendant families there.... as well as a lot of european immigrants..
Watched the Eurovision all through last night for the 1st time ever. Not bad, there were some quite decent songs (and of course some utter $hite  ). The voting was quite funny, watching neighbouring countries vote for each other and cheering each time the UK didn't get a vote   . I couldn't believe that we didn't get "nil points" as our entry was utter garbage (imo). And as far as Terry Wogan's concerned, I think it's about time they gave the job to someone else  . I don't find him the slightest bit humourous :?
didn't watch the whole thing, only the voting bit where terry wogan is at his best...lol

out of those to the footy but tbh i not really into eiter.
Only really started watching Eurovision when I started living with my wife - but she loves El Tels comments as well. The Dutch presenter who tried the same thing got kicked off for bringing eurovosion into disrepute - she can't believe that Tels allowed to get away with his comments. I think that's the only thing really worth watching. Liked Norways glamrock though :)
I think the voting's a joke though - even the people reading out the results of the votes were taking the mick - ie 'And our 12 points goes to, of course, <neighbouring country here' comments...
I think that's the only thing really worth watching. Liked Norways glamrock though :)
when it first came on i was thinking, good grief...! by the end of it me toes were a tapping....

To be honest, there is not much in it. I only liked watching at the end, when all the losers were crying ......

What a damn silly question. Wheres the option for 'I loved the football and was too drunk to watch the Terry Wogan televisual extravaganza'?
Arsenal, arsenal, arsenal,
Arsenal, arsenal, arsenal,
Arsenal, arsenal, arsenal,
Arsenal, AR-SEN-AL...
(just in case you forgot the words...)

I may be going out on a limb here... But are you by any chance pleased with Saturdays result?
