Are the sv650s and the sv1000s frames the same?

I recently blew my motor, and I am wondering if the 1000 motor will fit in the 650 frame? Anyone know. If it is possible do you need to do any mods to it?

Frames are not the same, but I have heard of thou lumps going into 650 frames. It's not straightforward or cheap apparently.

The frame will definately need modding.

The brakes will need modding (SV1000 has the old GSXR750 brakes 8) )

The rear swing arm will need modding/replacing (SV1000 has a 180 rear)

What kind of mods to the frame? Just the disks for the brakes or the calipers as well? What size is the 650 swing arm and why cant I just use the 650 swing arm?
