my belstaff explorer jacket and trousers seems to have lost some of their waterproofing quality, esp the trousers

can anyone tell me if it is possible (or worthwhile) to re-waterproof them? they're two years old and been used daily in all weather. been 100% leak free until now.

thx

Use nickwax wash in or spray on, both equally as good as each other. Just make sure the jacket/trousers are clean first. If you are washing them first always use some thing like soap flakes or nickwax tech wash normal detergents are to harsh on these type of fabrics. A bit of heat after applying the reproofer will help it to work better, a quick low heat go in the tumble drier (only if the garment says it can go in one!) or a warm but not hot iron through a towel or some thing similiar is best.

Hear ends the good house keeping guide to re-proofing.
