a hamcid fender does the job u utlise the oringinal number plate light & indicators the old unit comes clean off no cutting required thou i found it helped to make a small cut cos there are four awarked bolts at the back.

i believe the hamicd is made for ur model of bike too thou (maybe wrong)
yes it looks sooo much better a huge difference.
The K2 is totally different to the K3 onwards.
If you are desparate to fit an arsend, look forward to some chopping and sawing. This site demonstrates how http://www.sv650.tk/
Alternatively you could just fit an aftermarket undertray. The OEM Suzuki one keeps the numberplate light and bolts straight on without any cutting.
Check the Undertray thread in Bodywork also - http://forums.sv650.org/viewtopic.php?t=1793

Very neat - but will need more pics - diagrams, drawings, instructions etc .... :D
EDIT - yup - went here - http://www.sv650.tk/ and saw it all - not keen on hacksawing the old bits off though so may give that one a miss for the time being - nice site though - very useful

Good grief that looks a bit savage......
Don't think I'll be cutting my ar$e end up. Looks like the undertray route for me then....

I did the Suzuki/TCP undertray- it's lovely, and also totally legal unlike (afaik) all of the other undertrays for the SV. Not quite as nice looking as many of the others, mind, the underside's a bit lumpy. But you don't need to chop up your existing undertray, you keep a proper storage area, and they're colourmatched out of the box for about the same as a basecoated equivalent from the competition.

I've done it. I must say I was more than a little bit worried as I started to saw but it ended up as no biggy. I still think it looks better than any of the undertrays I've seen
done the TK mod and if anybody local wants a hand then give me a shout.
Two things that should be remembered for legality are the requirement for a red reflector & the number plate lights should not show any white light to the rear.
