As i have not met any of you yet and therefore my bravado is diminished I feel it is time to tell you :

I go on rideouts every month but only about 8 or 9 of us!!
I have never got my knee down
I can ride safe and well but within my limitations
I back off if I feel I am getting sucked into corners and trying to "chase" a better rider.

I am looking forward to the rideout..!

However, now I have told you all my skill base (minimal as it is) i feel better because a pound to a piece of the proverbial when I get there and see you all my big head and gob will start saying that I am better than I am- and......
....that can be dangerous for everyone-

A human trait I know- but would it be good if we all gave a brief idea of our skill!!......see when I know I aint playing golf against someone I am talking golf with my handicap drops to about 7 !!! - same kinda thing- just a bit more dangerous if honesty does not prevail...

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

I dislike riding in large groups (6+), thats why most of the time, i ride at the back. I prefer more full on smaller groups. im as happy to pootle, as riding in the 'fast' group.

Im a lone rider normally, that way you can stretch the fish, when you tell the tale in the pub :P

The rideout last year was steady away, and no-one had to worry about being left behind or waiting for others!

Its a rideout to give us chance to meet a few folks.

We arent all trying to keep up with Jelster on a gixxer

I think we should all realise that the Annual Rideout is not so much a normal ride-out but more of a procession. No hero antics just an orderly run along a nice planned route  .

last years run there were about 65 bikes i think and it was a pleasant run you couldnt go too fast coz of amount of bikes and everyone was just out for a run enjoying the weather and the company and the sound of 65 bikes going thru the wee villages - what a noise
