View Full Version : Review: Monday's ride
Well.. all things considered, not a bad ride! 8)
I assume everyone got back okay... and understand that there was another impromptu SELKent gathering on the way home
Many thanks to Viney and Joe for helping things go along smoothly. Apologies to Joe, for not finding more traffic light starts for your new project: Wreck First Gear ;)
... and finally, a big pat on the back to Sam, who in theory, earnt her wings for the Soho Massive ;)

Many thanks to Viney and Joe for helping things go along smoothly. Apologies to Joe, for not finding more traffic light starts for your new project: Wreck First Gear ;) I will wreck this bike if it kills me  but yes I had a good day, nice of someone to stop at the turn off we all needed :P but you guys that shot off up the A21 ahead of me missed a really nice set of twisties that jambo and I enjoyed!
Yeah... had a good little ride over to Helen's. It turned out to be a lovely evening. Not a bad ride up the M20 today either - not really done that before! Traffic gets a bit silly around Blackwall and Limehouse, but otherwise alright.
I've managed to pull some pictures off Kate's camera... but don't have anywhere to post them. Who wants em?
Was it wet? I was about to leave when the heavens opened.

I got left in the carpark at riverhead.
Oh :(
That's not very nice. I thought you got to the petrol station and decided to go home due to the weather :(
Squirrel, we thought you'd gone home! We stopped at the petrol station near riverhead, and the question re your whereabouts was asked.
I'm sorry you got left behind - was a nice day out, apart from the rain and the cold.
Billy - traffic's not normally that bad in Limehouse and the A13 - was very bunged up this morning - although the blackwall approach is usually worse.

A good ride out all in all I think. I enjoyed it even if I had some "interesting" moments on the wet roads when i found some mud
Jordon, sorry you got left behind we all waved at the petrol station, and was about to give chase, but the consensus was you'd decided to go home

It was a good ride out, shame about the weather, but at least it cleared up for us. I was nice and warm and dry thanks to my lovely Gortex gear :P :P
It wasn't too fast either, a good pace i think. Can't wait until the next one.

Oh me too please :)
It was wet, cold...just like most Selkent rideouts. We like snow and hail...in June!
Well, sorry i went off, but i was getting very cold. Silly me thinking that a rideout at the end of May you would need the linings in your coat. Still i found a fetching Cardigan in Eastbourne, that will match my Volvo driving slippers, and that kept me warm on the way home, even though the sun came out! Typical.
Nice baptism of fire for the newbies, with the hail and rain. No major events, and joe even got lost (nothing new there then)
Cheers everyone :D
