:( :( :( :( :( :( :( :(
After four and a half years of riding I had my first off today.
Hit a mix of tar and gravel while trying to keep out of way of traffic on a narrow country road.
I had two options drop my bike or go through a wire fence into a field of trees, I chose the first but ended up under my bike and now have a sore foot and incredibly painful shoulder/right arm.
Happened near to brands hatch this morning at about 11:30, managed to ride it home and wished I had'nt because the pain started to kick in about four miles from home and I lost all strength in my right arm.
The only good thing i can take from it is that I have a new found respect for the bike and that in those situations you are only but a passenger and the bike takes on a mind of its own.
If anyone can help I need -
A complete new exhaust system,
A new brake lever,
New handlebars,
A new right R + G, or complete set,
A new right hand foot peg,
New bar - end weight.
Will be forever grateful if anyone can help.
(Going to go and take some more tablets, and weight for briusing to come out/sulk in the corner)
:( Mark :(
sorry to hear that. Know the feeling as my last off I slid with the bike under it and thats the worst one injury wise. Hope you better soon - couple of days for the pain and about 2 weeks for the bruises if youre anything like me. :(
sorry cant help with any bits, but sure someone here can.
Country road near Brands.... not the A20? or is it the road nearer eynesford? just wondering as Im going to blatt down the A20 after bikes fixed tomorrow...
Sorry to hear of your off Mark. But at least you are walking wounded and by the sound of it so is the bike.
Can't help with spares, but best of luck getting parts sorted. I guess we wont be seeing you at the rideout at the weekend. :(

 and there was me only taking the p about you this afternoon with paul in the shop saying you had a day off to polish her.
It's certainly no fun is it? Welcome to the club, glad you're okayish, hope the arm etc feels better in a few days though do visit the quack and get it seen to. When bikes go down there's usually several things that need fixing and good luck with getting it straight.
BTW is is an S oir a naked? And which model?

Do you need a front or rear brake lever?
Do you need a front or rear brake lever?
Is it not front brake lever and rear brake PEDAL :? :?
Jordan Id say both looking at that list...
new front handlebars would indicate the front brake levers gone... and the new right foot peg would indicate the rear levers snapped too [based on extensive crash experience    ].... which again would suggest the brake lever referred to above it is the front brake lever...

:D Thanks everybody :D
Felt pretty crappy last night, dont feel a lot different today but can only get better from this point onwards.
The rear brake lever is fine, as I have a foot peg shaped dent in my foot and a mangled alpinestar toe slider.
Going to start phoning round for parts and if I cannot get it sorted for cheaper than my excess I am gonna claim on my insurance.
Again thanks for support, will have to meet you all on one of the next ride-outs.
Cheers
Mark

The real annoying thing is that I'm fully comp insurance, but trying to sort things out today they really didnt give a monkeys.
So now i'v got to sort the bike out myself, otherwise i stand to lose 2 years no claims, insurance will go through the roof and my current insurer said they will no longer be able to insure me because I will be too high a risk.
To say the least I was not impressed.
If I go genuine suzuki I will pay -
Tank - £377
Exhaust - £747
Toolbox - £45
Handlebars - £46
Right footpeg - About £30
R + G'S - £70
Brake lever - £36
few other bits but they are hard enough justify.
On the plus side I can get pattern parts cheap through work and.........
There will soon be a carbon fibre remus revolution on the way :D
Mark

Bad luck
It could have been a lot worse . . .
I have a spare RHS R&G - feel free to have it when I've sorted out what's happening to mine, although that might take some time
