Well it all started out OK
http://premium1.uploadit.org/MrToad//Ferry.jpg
I counted 80 bikes on the ferry - made a lovely noise when they all started up when we docked in Le Havre :D
Then I fell off
Then I woke up the next day
http://premium1.uploadit.org/MrToad//ImageA.jpg
The white things on my chest are where they were injecting garlic - trying to convert a Toad to a Frog
Silly grin caused by the wonderful Morphine (recommended - better than any single malt  )
The Leg - whilst not such a shocker as Rictus's pic, at least it has a decent sized bandage - spot the sneeky French trying to syphon out good English blood
http://premium1.uploadit.org/MrToad//Leg.jpg
What remains of the bike - doesn't look too bad at first glance
http://premium1.uploadit.org/MrToad//Image1.jpg
but get a bit closer
http://premium1.uploadit.org/MrToad//Image2.jpg
no oil filter, cracked crankcase, displaced oil and coolant radiators
and someone has taken a steam iron to my downpipe
http://premium1.uploadit.org/MrToad//Image3.jpg
very bent bars, but levers look OK
R&G torn off - funny that  , hope the newer models are a bit stronger
pegs snapped off
Just waiting for the insurance company to sort themselves out
Leg seems to be going OK - physio's think it is straightening itself, so with a bit of luck I won't have to have it reset :D
cheers
Simon... erm
I don't want to be rude, but what's going to happen to your bike? I can't help but notice that your tank seems to be in perfect condition! ;)
I have to say that downpipe is super-impressive   - still needs a clean though ;).
.
Thats the new exhaust pipe system from Micron called Serpent.
Bahh, not all that bad. I had the idea that the bike was in two halfs.
I couple of hundred and it will be like new.
PS (edited). Did not read the bit about a cracked crankcase. Oh Dear.

Yeah, I was scatching my head when I looked at that... I reckon the front downpipe took the full force of the sign post (which was square section, not a tube!). I picked the oil filter up from the road and put it with the bike.. Why ? #-o
The worst bit was when they dragged it up the back of the revovery truck while it was laying on it's side ](*,)
Still, hopefully there'll be less of this :crutches: , and more of this :riding: soon
.

thanks everyone
I have received a number of pm's, etc. regarding 'spares' so once I get it back from the insurance co (assuming it is written off) we'll let the bidding commence
- or perhaps just let the vultures round with their spanners &
hammers :D demolition derby - last one standing gets the parts
cheers

ive got motorax DHM's on my sv which lots of people have slagged off for not being very strong, R+G crash mushys are ment to be the best you can buy but yours didnt fair to well MR TOAD what impact snapped the r+g off? was it the tarmac or a car or a wall? just intrested cuz ive never seen one fail? hope your on the mend mr toad get well soon.
p.s. ive herd of tail tidy's but not front pipe tidys!
daz(england)
to be fair they are designed to fail under too much stress, otherwise they can bend the frame/snag the tarmac etc.
Glad to hear Mr Toad is on the mend :)

The pucks on the old style R&G are prone to easy failure. They rip out of the cups too easily.
The new ones are an improvement, but those who should know what they're talking about say the JHS ones are the best.
