Coolant level check... how?

Okay, I may be thick, but I can't see a window for checking the coolant level. Maybe it's hidden by the fairing lowers on my 2005 650S. Any advice?

wel on my curvey s type its hiden behind the fairing and i just stick my skiney hand down and pop it off and usealy i can see the water / poke my finger in to check

Okay, I should be able to get to the cap, but I was thinking there should be a window, with a max line, to allow for an air volume that contracts as the heat/pressure rises in the system.

On the left hand side under the tank, it's quite far back towards the seat.
Stand the bike up straight and in good light you can see the level.

Btw, you don't need to life the tank, it's visible through the frame.
