I am going from a 44 tooth rear on my curvy to a 46 tooth rear - i know that if you change the front sprocket then your speedo is affected - is this also the case if you change the rear sprocket? If so, which way is it affected (does it read higher or lower than actual speed?)
Any advice appreciated...

On an SV the speedo won't be affected whatever you do to the sprocket. The speedo sensor is on the front wheel.
