I would love to but I'm not travelling in that direction that weekend and I'm getting very, very ****ed cos it's my birthday the following week and it's the only time I can see the gf.
btw, I rode down through dorset and into devon just after lunch last saturday and didn't get a drop of water on me.

Coolio, OK where do you fancy going ?
I could also be tempted if the weather's nice. As for where, no idea - my normal routes only take about an hour.

Personally Devon and Somerset ie. Exmoor if your not bored of it or at least pos southish. I dont really like Blandford Salisbury way I find I get really ****ed off whenever I go that way.

I'm not bored of Exmoor that kind of area, I love it
Dont really know my way around that area very except the rideout route I have planned
We could go more towards the bridport / weymouth area if you wanted

Weather looking more promising....
Exmoor sounds interesting. I once cycled to Bridport so doing it on a 'proper' bike cound also be fun. Dunno :?

I dont mind either. But doing both in one day is going to make for a long day in the saddle.

So where do you guys want to go then ?
We could either Meet at Riders in Bridgwater and then do the rideout route I have planned
Or
We could still Meet at Riders and then come back this way, follow the road to Crewkerne, then to bridport, then on along the coast road back towards, Abbotsbury into Weymouth, Back up towards Dorchester, then follow the road through Sydling St Nicholas, Cerne Abbas, back to Sherborne and then you can pick up the road again back towards Bridgewater through langport back to the M5
Both routes nice and twisty and not at all boring and good fun to ride IMHO
Or somewhere else I dont really mind
i dont mind either route, depends on what time people intend to set off,
earlier the better imo,
What kind of time would people want to meet at Riders?

Somewhere 10:30ish
I need to be back at home at a reasoable time ( tea time ish ) as i have to be in work for 7:30pm
Thats fine by me,earlier if anyone wants to,
Rich,Hacksaw are you still up for this,
meet up in Bristol first or is it easier to all meet at Riders
i shall be going down the A/B roads, cant stand motorway riding.

Cool OK see you there unless its p*ssing with rain
Same here, might be a good idea to exchange mobile numbers at some point, got Rich's so see who is coming first.

I've got Rich's to
I'll PM you mine
Route sounds good!
I like the idea of meeting at Bristol before going to Bridgewater too, having not been there before. As for how to get there, I'll bow to others' better judgement :D

We can go down the A38 to Bridgewater if you like. A good meet point for that would either be Fowlers or pos better Sainsbury's at Winterstoke Rd filling station. Im not sure how long the A38 would take to get to Riders. Pos 40mins??? All I know is its sub 30 mins from my house near the M5.
I can look on the AA tomorrow.
Weather looks good. Im def up for this if it holds.

I like either route, but I rode the exmoor one last weekend, so if its OK with you guys can we do the bridport coastal run. Also it has less dual carriageway in it and I guess you guys might want a break from that kind of thing if you are M5'ing it down

Fowlers at 9:30 it is then. Maybe meet in the overflow carpark on the opposite side of the road?

I won't start another thread as this ones not entirely out of control
So, first meet at 9.30 Fowlers overflow car park (if open if not Fowlers main)
Then rode down A38 Bridgewater to Riders, leaving there 10.30.
Lets try and leave Fowlers by 9.40.
My mobile is 07834 453799.
Anyone else welcome, either meet us at Fowlers or catch up at Riders of Bridgewater.
(I have a ****ty cold but I seem ok today now so expecting to be there. I'll let Term know if not)

Weather still looking good for tomorrow
I will say this now I ride fast over some of these bits of road as I know them well. Some of them in one or two places have some nasty bends that tighten and are deceptive when you first enter the corners.
