And yes, for those not in our land, I KNOW the UK has an advantage, having three countries with a good sense of humour ....in fact, FOUR if you include (CENSORED - TO AVOID BREAKING NEW GOV'T LEGISLATION).

britain. simple. end of.

i know i'm biased cos its the land of my birth and has been my home for 36 years, but our nation has such depth and deep history associated with comedy. how many americans say their major influences were/are monty python? plenty.

france? good one!

My fingers even thicker than my brain, JB!!! For all Americans: yes, it's Jack Benny....for all others: who cares!!!

(Translated: I dunno how to amend it so I'm putting on a brave front!)

I read a poll in a paper about european attitudes about each other and Britain came out way on top for sence of humour.

If I remember
The germans were most efficient
The Italians were the most romantic
I think the Italians also got best for style

I can't remember the rest except the French didn't win anything.

france? good one!

Eddie Izzard incorporates French into his humour and Ricky Gervais has a bit of French in him. AND they're good to laugh at - so I would say France should be in the poll!
