Buy two bikes, buy a pedal bike for getting around an getting fit, hopefully ill be starting this soon too.

And get a proper bike for going about on. Perhaps get a slighty cheaper one that needs some TLC that you can attend to :)

Oh and for rain, sod that buy some cheapy waterproofs for the bike :D

You've already decided, haven't you? :?

You're just trying to rope us in to justify your decision to yourself.

Buy the bike. Life's too short to have regrets. I wish I'd bought one years ago.

If you're really not sure look around and see what type of car and then what kind of bike you can get for £3.5 - £4k.

'nuff said.

Your asking on a bike forum you realise, so I think people will be slightly biased!

I've got the car I've always wanted and the bike I've always wanted, nothing beats having both 8)

You've already had a bike, have you had a car you've always wanted? On the other hand, if you are really missing the bike, sod the saving and get one!

Get the car! Bikes are horrible, noisy, dangerous and ridden exclusively by leather clad, greasy hooligans.

Oh go on then get a bike if you really want to! :P
