Went for a little ride down the coast to Duquesa Marina yesterday, parked the bike up so that I could admire it with a back drop of boats as I sipped a cool Cola.
I then decided it would be rude not to take a spin up to the cafe on the Ronda Road. Got to the traffic lights at the start of said road and was joined by a guy on a ZX7R, cordial nods were exchanged and when the lights changed I hesitated to allow him to take the lead. He was happy though for me to go first.(I noticed later that his bike was Gibraltar registered, have you seen the licene plates on them? Dimensions of a school ruler but just about 8 inches in length!)
Gradually getting in to the swing of the ride through the twisty bits, occasional glance in mirrors showed my ZX friend was possibly not as familiar with the road as myself and he kept getting dropped.
As we progressed aright hander opened up in to a reasonable straight, ahead of me was a Fazer with a girl pillion. My pace ws faster than the Fazer but decided to stay back at a non "aggressive" distance. Anyway me laddo,(dressed in non biking gear and girlie in a lovely short denim skirt and strappy top!) decides he is going to play the knob!
Mr.Fazer starts to open up along the straights, yet approach bends extremely nervously. I tag along for a while but finally decided that it might be better for me to get away from him and then he might get back to riding as he was before I arrived.

I bided my time for a lovely sweeping 90º bend to be coming up, without being wreckless I left my braking way later than our friend and carved past him part way in to the bend on the outside and accelerated from the apex. That put an end to his ball*x as he backed off immediately!

A couple of miles further and rounding a bend saw a Guardia Civil 4x4 pottering along with a Peugeot car trailing it. Well end of todays fun I was thinking as the section was signed as 60kmh and you just dont overtake Guardia Civil!

Well a mile or so later the Police vehicle pulled to the side to let us pass! The car was despatched soon after and again my swifter progress was assumed.
I arrived at the cafe and was sat chatting when the Guardia chaps arrived and parked up. I noticed it was the two same guys who were Pan American mounted last week and called in for a coffee. I got chatting to them, nice guys.

The thing is, they are visiting bike accidents on this road every single weekend without fail. But they ride bikes themselves and know that people can ride a bit swifter on the road without being crazy. They were also mindfull that there presence was preventing me from enjoying the rest of my ride to the cafe and so were happy to move over.

Not sure what the point of all of the above is but there you go..... :? 8)

To demonstrate the: 'ACAB' Is untrue and that people who don't 'wear their frickkin' leathers' tend to ride like idiots and not very quickly at that...

Worth posting IMO :)
