It already is in force! Hairdryers are probably louder than legal bike exhausts anyway.

(at least mine is - But I could make it louder by getting a "Not for Hair Use" race nozzle for it ;))

In general, I figure if a story's on the front page of MCN, it's absolute cobblers.

I think MCN are pushing it a bit - some dopey old lord with too much time on his hands (now that he's not allowed to foxhunt) moaninf about noisy bikes ruining his afternoon tea or whatever... just because he's got the hump doesn't mean anyone will listen to him.

if they inforce a ban on loud cans it will damage the motorcycle industry, people wont want new bikes because they cant have a loud can

He's got the hump because there's a green lane area near his home and big 4-stroke enduro's are banging up and down it. But then again it could be he's just a tosser trying to spoil our fun

You're not allowed a loud can now!

Trying to see it from his lordships point of view, it must be pretty gutting for all those townies to tell him he can't hunt any more, then next minute there's a load of townies bombing past "his" land on their townie noise and fire contraptions - confound it! - tell the butler to fetch the blunderbuss!!

mcn will print almost anything to make you pick up the paper, i think they just alternate between police crackdown on speeding and loud exhausts

you overlooked completely fictionalised images or reports on new bikes :)

According to the gist of the article you'd need to remove the stock can and fit a quieter one :?
Maybe it's time to buy that busa and remove the number plate

Seeing a lot of police clamping down on off-roaders round here, there's a new MX sshop up near the church who've been doing a roaring business.
So the police put out pamphlets with a toll free grass you up number.
Didin't care much for the title "Do you suffer a motorcyle?"
Thought it was aimed at H*nda owners at first, but it's actually all about the noise we get every weekend from the thumping singles behind the factories on the waste ground.

Seems like if you're green laning, you've got to be aware of how precarious the sport's position is, so if you're doing it without consideration you're just a c***. No?

Yes, because that's the reason people buy new bikes, just so that they can put a loud can on.

Plus no one ever gets pulled and given a rectification notice for having a race can do they.
