Hey,

Beauty pics mate!! Looks like an amazing trip! How long did you go for?

Mitch

All in all, we had 9 days, took 2 days to ride down from Amsterdam, and two days up.... via Germany on the way down, and came back up via France and Luxembourg. For most of the days, we just camped near Andermatt, and visited the passes around. occationally goes in and out of Italy, ended up 150km from Millan at one stage...
Some passes have very good visibility so you can really put some speed down.. most of the hairpin places are good for knee down. Passo dello Spluga's hairpin was very sharpe, some car has to do three point turn to turn, extreme caution there...

thanks all for the positive comments about the pics... to simply put the scenaries are breath taking everywhere we go, its the scenary that brought the pics alive. wish i had more time to stop and take pictures... but the roads are just calling, and one twisties after another... one sweeping bends after another, it won't do justice to the road engineer that i stop too often...

Just for the record, I hit a greesy white strip and veered off (nearly over the edge!). I was saved by my incredible riding skills, luring the bike over with a bit of brake right at the edge.

Oh how modest ...

(actually I took that corner waaaay to fast)

I've got a clip of the caterham video, it's awesome.

I believe that was the San Gotthardo pass close to Andermatt (awaits DrPain's confirmation, he was the navigator), most of my pictures were taken around Grimsel, Furka San Gotthardo and Oberalp Passes.

I think that was at the Susten pass where you can walk onto the Steingletscher Glacier.

Incorrect young Kairong, no wonder you kept getting us lost when you were leading!! Pass in photo is the Grimsel Pass, going down to Gletsch, and in the distance is the Furka pass rising up towards the Glacier. (Rhone Glacier i think). Ha ha i only know all this cos i was the only one with the book

I too have some pics to upload but i dont know how to do it, however i'm sure Krz will tell me soon enough. Except mine were taken on a little compact so cant compete with the two David Baileys of the trip AKA Snoopy and Krz with their lovely SLR outfits!

Why the hell did I go to Portugal and lie around the swimming pool, when I could have been doing trip like that on my bike. Oh yes I remember, wife and kids.

Going to take some grovelling to get a pass out, for a trip like that. Best start now for next year then
