There is a lot of information and discussion regarding holes in the road, and what can be done to get the council responsible in the area to repair them.

Does anyone know what the criteria are for lumps in the road?

There is a road I travel on quite frerquently by car. On a bend in the road there is a lump forming in the tarmac, as if pushed by the tyres of the cars and lorries. Unfortunately for us bikers it is near the white line, more or less on the riding line a biker would take.

I'll try to take some pictures, but as it is a busy road that might not be so easy.

Dear Topaz
Have you thought of altering your line on this bend to avoid the bumps?

there are quite a few round this area- one junction you have no choice but to follow the line made my the lorry wheels as you get trapped in it.

pain in the bum.

make sure the council is aware of the problem, then when you bin it you can sue them.

There were a couple of spots like that on the A13 London-bound right in the center of each lane for MONTHS but I noticed this morning they've been flattened... Hitting them square on would bounce me probably a couple of inches off my seat. Scared the crap out of me first time I hit them. Someone must've complained. :D

I should've sent 'the powers that be' a letter but I just learned where they were and altered my line. (lazy i guess)
