yeahhh huni i'm home :crutches:
home at last. just so glad to be out of that hospital with all those sick people. staff were wonderful, except the Fractures guy who decided to manipulate me broken swollen ankle 3 days after being there, without any sedation! it was even worse when th Dr looked at the xrays and said it was in a bigger mess now - 24hrs of agony to be told it was worse didnt cheer me up. after the op it is now complete with 2 plates and some screws - recovery now on its way! wrist is more painful, mostly because the plaster is too big now - it was put on during the leg op on 29th i think - so it moves around too much when i am using that gutter crutch thing. never mind off to hospital on tuesday to get staples out of wound on leg and nice new liteweight plasters.
dont know about the bike (Darcie). she is residing at a club mates house close to the track. i will get her home on 20th when next race meeting is on, there will be some of the crews who will bring her up in their vans. she was able to be wheeled to the pickup van at the track, but was putting out a lot of oil. i know the gear and clutch lever was pulled off so it may have been coming from there. i cant get any details apart from - she needs a bit of work. coming from an irishman that covers about anything.
still its good to be back. missed the MidAntrim road races today, but i cant stand about for very long - the energy levels are very low right now. but i intend going to the UlsterGP practices on wed night and the race on sat. the biggest annoyance is the muscles in my back get really sore - although considering i wasnt wearing a back protecter i do count myself lucky.
once again thanks for all the good wishes - it brightened my day when i read them.
celtic run - while Darcie wont be ready (or me) i was thinking of going down on the Sat for the BBQ and drive home on Sunday. it woud be good to see you all before the winter sets in.
thanks
