Tonight I went for a blast into derbyshire, and as I had my whizzy phone with me I took a pic of my SV with the famous "chesterfield crooked spire" in the background.

There are many stories about how the church spire got twisted, one legend states that the next time a Virgin Bride is married at the Altar, it'll straighten out. Having had many, many nights out, and stop overs in chesterfield, I can confirm that Chesterfieldiarianos are absolutely smashing people, and you couldn't want for better neighbours.

Neighbours because Sheffield and Chesterfield is only 4-5 miles apart.

The Last bike I owned before my SV was a Black GPZ600R. One evening I went out of my front door to take a picture of it when a little old lady saw me and said. "never mind all that, you want a picture of yourself with the bike don't you, give me that camera"

Our old Ladies in sheffield, really aren't the messing about type, and they like to call a spade, "SPADE"

There's me aged about 22 in 1992

You're dead right about that. Old Biddies here are a trouble causing lot and they go on for centuries sometimes.

Thanks, My SV is an old one but has hardly been used. I am very happy with it. It is as new despite being 5 years old.

When I passed My bike test in 1989. [Part 2 it was called in those days!] Me and my mate put together and bought a 250 Superdream for 7500pence.. We had a great time on this bike and ash spent a fortune on it. When it passed to him, after I moved on to a GSX250, he spent some money on it. Buying nice new exhaust, replacing bearings, having the cylinder head "gasflowed"

The handling on a 250 superdream is "interesting", they are extremely heavy, well made and top heavy.

This bike weighed more than my SV650 does. !!

The most fun I ever had on a bike in my previous incarnation as a Biker was this Suzuki GSX250
http://www.rocknroll.f9.co.uk/motor/suzi1.jpg
It was light and fun and I bought it for a hundred quid.

Later I put Drop handlebars on it and it changed it's character somewhat to more "sporty feeling" And for a few months aI was a complete nutter, but it wasn't to last....
