Is s***. Got the round one last year, and apart from leaking pretty badly, it just more or less dissolved when I went to put in the new disc. 5 of the 6 bolts sheared off... So I've got a nice chunky Oberon one now.

Yeah, I only put mine on the old bike in March and when I opened it again in July, one of the bolts had corroded badly and sheared off when undoing it... that'll be why it was £4 in the bargain bin then

Ah, well, if it was £4 that's not so bad- you could get one every year for the next 5 and it'd still be the same as the Oberon :)

But the Oberon will probably last more than 5 years...

I've the best tax disc holder known to SVers... it's snugly under the rear seat in a bag.

I have a design for a tax disc holder that should be water proof I just haven't had time to draw it up.... plus I wasn't sure there would be a point as I felt they would be dropped.

A year on... Just changed my disc, and it's exactly the same as it was the day I fitted it, it's never even been damp. Very impressed. And no sheared bolts :)

They're used for displaying a round bit of paper (tax disc) on the bike. In the UK we have to pay road tax every year and we get a tax disc to show we've been good and paid.

I've had a few tax discs like that. I meant to put htem on the bike but they never quite got there.

I hate the idea of spending money on a holder. When I do put em on I tend to tape 'em up with loads of sellotape. You have to cut them out if you want to take it and they are obscured so if plod is really interested he'll have to get his knees dirty getting down to look closely.

Don't get us started. £0.95 / litre = £4.33 a gallon (UK gallon) so around $8 USD a gallon.
