I was just wondering if, in fact, I was too small for a bike of this stature. I am 5' 7" and weigh 120 pounds (sorry i live in the states, I saw that most of you on here are in fact not  ). But in all seriousness, I am craving a motorbike and this was nagging at the back of my mind.
I'm 5'4 and ride a 2000 curvy sv... had it and the seat lowered. On tip toes but it's no problem.
At 5'7 I doubt you'd have any probs.

As most Japanese are about the same dimensions, I'd say the bike was designed with you in mind!

Sure, no probs. I guess I'm only about 5'7" too, though I used to be a bit taller (5' 7 3/4" - an age thing). Mind you, I must weigh nearly twice as much.
I am 5'6 ish and it's just about ok. I had it lowered last night after 4k miles and it feels much better now.

well, my height combined with lowering springs or whatever they are called for motorcycles should be sufficient. i was just wondering about the weight issue, im a pretty thing guy if you havent noticed

I weigh about the same as a Moth. No problems for me.

120 pounds would make you around 60 kg, I am about 65 and it's not a problem. But I suppose taht woudl depend on how confident you are. Have you test riden one yet? Why dont yuou have a go and you'll have a better picture of how it feels and whether the SV is for you or not.

think its more to do with inside leg measurement than height. im 5'6 but only have 26.5" inside leg. can reach ground with one foot, usually all you need.
Is it me or are there a lot of people asking similar questions? :-k
You reckon you would have trouble and you are 5'7"? Lol, I'm not even 5'2" and the SV is my first bike!
