Am after a smallish tank bag. Am looking for a shallow one that is attached using magnets and wont scratch the tank in any way. What u guys use?

Oxford now do a very small one, just enough for a wallet, phone, keys etc... It's about £40 (I think) HG stock them..

Most magnetic tank bags will cause some kind of scratch on the surface of the tank. I personally prefer to use a back pack and the Knox Aero is gr8. Else Baglux have quite a good range of tank bags and tank covers which will protect the tank.

I use a piece of antislip matting under my tank bag. It stops it slipping AND prevents scratching. A few quid (<£5) at a hardware/housewares shop. I'm also going to glue this onto the back of my throw-over panniers to stop them chafing paintwork on one of my bikes.

Hi, why not use dubble sided carpet tape to stick it on as if you use glue and it comes through when it hardens that will scratch your paintwork.
Regards ****.

Spud and I have gone for a soft Givi bag. It can be converted into a map holder or a rucksack. I don't know what Spud thinks of it - but I use it almost daily. In the rain you need the waterproof cover, it's expandable and pretty spacious.

£30 in Bikestop (so handy for you!) (If you say you were referred by the guy with the 2 year old kid who tries to out stare the man in the shop, but goes shy when spoken to.....they will probably throw you out of the shop!)
