after some spirited driving,.
Most people ride bikes, maybe that's where you're going wrong.

Muttley - have to say that a) you haven't greatly added to the debate here and b) if you are going to criticise people's use of punctuation, you should first sort out your own. This is the second time in five minutes that your use of commas has given me cause to chuckle. I hope this isn't going to turn into the grammar and punctuation police forum.

Aluminium is a good heat conductor so it's not a surprise that it gets hot.
I've got burns thru my gear on the inside of my legs before, frame sometimes gets hotter than the exaust on my bike

I've never had it get that hot, but it's been hot enough that I couldn't comfortably hold my leathered up legs against the frame.

my frame wasn't any hotter than what you describe, just that after 400+ miles of northern Georgia mountain twisties, I got burns, like a bad sunburn

Well said.
Muttley , I don't know what your problems are but get a life. It has been shown in the last few days that your grammar and punctuation are not perfect so stop trying to be the smart one.

Yeah, it was almost too hot to touch and that had me worried.

I noticed hot tubes on my frame around the back cyclinder on saturday when it was a nice hot day, after I had done about 50 miles. I think the LHS gets slightly hotter.. As the frame is bolted directly to the cylinder bodies, it is acting as a heat sink and that's the way it goes. It's just bikes!
