Well folks.......

.......some will love it, some will hate it and some (like me) with think it's "not bad that".

What's your thoughts?

I picked up this little part on eBay from ClutchLevers.com and I think it's quite good in comparison to the cheapy plastic original.

theres only so many bull**** bits you can add to a bike before it becomes tacky.

Hi,
what's the meaning of red stripe on tach? Does it mark the sweet spot revs?

just curious...

hehe, having a superior naked SV I was struggling to see the point of a aluminium brake fluid cap, looks a bit bling for me, but if you like it then cool....

Pah... if you'd bought a naked bike, you'd have got an alluminium reservoir anyway!

I've got one of those, except it's the plain black anodised one without the logo. IMO a bit more tasteful, I don't htinlk the polished look looks right on the SV to be honest.

I'm not convinced. I don't actually dislike it, though.

Now that sounds NIIICE. Must admit that the level of shine is what makes me a little iffy on my one, although the pics isn't great since it's from me 'phone. Chewys Oberon looks good. Perhaps a gentle bead blast with some fine glass media would improve things- Hmm.

The key is normal size :D , but the alarm fob looks huge in that pic doesn't it  . It's just the same size as on any VW, Audi, Mercedes etc and it stops rattling off the yoke and scratches / chips. Less likely to stab you (somewhere!) in your trouser pocket too

Cheers... It looks like this:

Nothing too special, I got it from everyone's favourite purveyor of anodised tat, Probolts... They do other colours as well- gold, blue, silver, red, purple and green. When i got the bike I basically phoned them up and said "Send me all the anodised s*** you have", and I've spent the last 18 months gradually removing most of it and putting proper bolts back in :)

Good point. Everything coloured or polished can just look shoot. :(

Replacing the original bolts? I though that they really are supposed to be shoot.... what about plain but quality stainless a la Chewy? Is this not the way to go?

Perhaps somebody can advise also...... if I was to replace the engine bolts, would it affect my warranty?

Cheers,
Garry

With my bolts, I got Chewy's bolt kit, and also a big Ebay stainless mixed bag to do the non-standard stuff that Chewy obviously can't cover. Well worth it. Still got the Pro-bolts black engine bolts on, to avoid that horrible studded look you get with stainless on black- the price I pay is having to dig a sheared bolt out of hte engine from time to time :)

Replacing the engine bolts might affect your warranty, if you had an engine-bolt related failure. If not, just change them back before you takre it to the shop
