Fitting Scottoiler and Hamicad tail tidy at the same time?

As ye can see from the picture on the left, my K3 S has got snow plough problems. Spent good while trawling through the archives and reckon Hamicad is way to go. New scottoiler universal arrived this week, planning to install that at the weekend, now I'm thinking might be better waiting until get the hamicad and install both at once.

I presume the two can play together happily? From what I've read the hamicad installation involves a major dismantling of the rear, would that be a good time to pipe up the scottoiler at the same time, or is it best to keep the oiler well away from the rear, maybe inside my lower fairings or somesuch?

Then again, went back to my DAS school for a rideout last week and they pointed out that the rear wheel that came with my 2nd hand bike is distinctly square, big chicken strips and a well flat middle. Maybe should save my money for new rubber instead

Well, scottoiler is on and didn't bother waiting until I had the tail tidy. Would have probably been a good idea doing the two together as I ended up taking the tail off to try and fit the scottoiler somewhere out of the way.

Failed to find anywhere clever for the oiler, already have alarm on right hand side under pillion seat, lock mechansim pretty much prevents putting one on left had side on my K3. So had to put it in the useful storage area, now I have even less stowage space :(

Suppose putting tail tidy on will be whole lot easier now I've worked out how to take the tail fairing off :)

There is a handy hole to fix the oiler to on the left hand side of the frame just below the front seat. It means the oiler does pick up some heat from the exhaust, but if you ride in the winter it helps in getting some oil on the chain, and you don't lose storage space.

Count yourself lucky though, on the K5 Suzuki have already taken all the storage from you!

I'd read about that hole on other threads here, had a look but couldn't find it and presumed it didn't exist on pointys (or K3s). Will have to go and take a closer look. #-o

No storage on a K5, thats rough, I can fit a chain under my seat and nothing else, how do K5 riders cope with chains?

You are right, it dont have the hole on the pointys. I fitted and resivor on e.ds K5 under the set bolting it to a mounting thats under there! How much do you want to carry under a seat anyway??? I have a lazerline alarm which pretty much takes up all the space, just enough for tools kit, multitool and a cargo net!
