View Full Version : I've bought my SV!
On order is one red SV650SK5, fairing Lowers, frame crash protectors, double bubble screen, seat cowl and a Suzuki Alarm system. Picking it up on the 19th (9 day's to go!). I also need to shop around for an undertray, tail tidy, some lovely indicatiors and new leathers (I know what boots + hemlet I want). Bring on the 19th!
Am I happy? HELL YEAH!
PS. I am in the Lisburn/Belfast area.
Oh and a hugger of course! I don't know if I should go for the Suzuki (at £145) or seek out an after market one.
Hi KayDee,
I have the suzuki hugger on my K2, its good enough only thing is the colour isnt quite a match. I see you left something out, wheres the after market can? It will sound great with one  .

That will have to wait for a little while. Do they sound alright standard? Bare in mind I am moving up from 125's. :D
You will probably think its alright until you get hear a V-tiwn with an aftermarket can, they sound pretty good. Try ebay for a second hand one if ur a bit short.
they sound ok ,,,if u like sewing machines

That's where I got mine! Did you do your test in Lisburn? Pictures?
What insurance company did you go for?

They want £1180.20 fully comp for me with an excess of £175, that's declaring the bike as being worth £6000 (bike + extras)
Hi there KayDee and padmane.
Congrats on passin your test.
I passed mine last Nov and bought a SV650S.
Best thing i ever did, after i got over the initial shock of
getting off an instructors 125 bike and onto a great bike.
Have fun and take care. Remember every other road user is
out to get you, so keep your mind on whats going on around you.
Public information spot over!
Maybe see you guys about later on when i get mine errr fixed! :crutches:
see kay in time you will be the voice of wisdom like yvo
You don't need to tell me about other road user's!
How some of these people get a licence I do not know! :x
I look forward to meeting some of you guy's on future runs.
KayDee and padmane congrats on passing and enjoy the bikes.

Thanks everyone. I'm sure I'll see you around and about.
I'm just riding around the ards coast line at the moment getting a feel for the bike. :D So far I'm being very good and running the bike in properly. I went down to Milisle to take a pic tonight and the camera batteries were flat! DOH :( I'll get it sort out next nice day.

Congrats.
Kinda answers a niggling question I had in the back of my mind...is it wise going from a 125 straight onto an SV650...
Decided it was, but am getting some lessons on a 650 first.
