it does scratch but better than a brown exhaust.

Wet and dry also works - with solvol ( or belgom alu ) after - but less scratching ( especially if you use a Black and Decker Mouse with a wet and dry pad attached ...

Or get a titanium exhaust system- mine goes a rather fetching blue instead :)

A good way to clean the stock donwnpipes is one of those 3M polishing cloths... Like steel wool, only flat and easier to use. Lovely.

Someone on here did a marvelous job to their down-pipe with a Black & Decker 'Mouse' sander fitted with the metal polishing pads...

Took about 20 minutes all in I believe... Couldn't tell you who it was though

You will have to keep on top of the polishing. I have the older model sv, and the stainless is of poor quality. I highly polished it, looked like a mirror with a black and decker and some tough polishing mops. But after a few months with not much care, it looks exactly the same as before!!

C'est moi!

Worked worked really well. It was Auto Glym metal polish. The brown marking does come back gradually though.

The B&D mouse comes with some metal polishing pads - grey in colour - made for moments like this! Then just add the polish to the pad and off you go!
