i like the standard as it doent attract "muchas" attention and i heard you can remove the baffles from the standard so anyone got any ideas on how i could do this and if so will it sound good given its so big ohhh and another thing will my bike lose backpressure and need re jetting and k&n?

With a large drill. Seriously.
I wouldn't recommend it, personally, but there is a guide on how to do it at www.svrider.com I think.

As for losing back pressure, yes, but it probably won't matter. You can put a straight through pipe on without any problems, so making the stock one a little freer will make bugger all difference.

It's "with a large drill, a bit of pipe, and a Serious Hammer" :) Looks liek a lot of work to me.

easiest option is get another can. then at mot time when you need your standard quiet can you can just replace it on the bike. take the baffle out the standard can you may find you have a problem if you cant find an amenable mot tester or an easy way to reinsert it.

unless you get a can with removable baffle that bolts in/out with an allen bolt. :D

viper cans are only about £99, id leave your stock can alone you may need it one day.

Besides the fact that there's risk you'll damage the original taking the baffle out, it also looks pretty turd in my opinion.

Race can's are also a vital safety feature in today's riding conditions to make sure you're heard even if they don't see you at first.

If you find the right MOT place, they won't be bothered if you have a race can anyway.

PS What's a baffle?

BAFFLE - to check, frustrate, to balk, defeat, elude, perplex, confuse, so yes indeed you are baffled.

I have a titanium scorpion oval, baffles removed, i've not once been hassled by neighbours of John Q Law. it sounds great IMHO, ticking over and at high revs. i wouldnt worry about unwanted attention from the Rozzers. think how much noise a Harley makes......

There is strong belief and plenty casual evidence that the police go easy on Harleys and cruisers as they are benign bikers, less likely to be breaking the law (other than the loud pipe, and the crime of fashion that is tassled grips, boots, saddlebags, jackets, pretty much anything that a tassle can be put on really).

So therefore the rest of us are lumped together as malignant law-breakers, some of whom also need locking up! (Anyone here wish to admit to wearing Hairy 'R's  )

I wouldn't bother with the baffle op either, aftermarket cans weigh a fraction of that howitzer! Mine was just £85 with link pipe! There are bargains to be had.

Wonder if you can get away with putting a Hardly Movingson badge on your bike then?

In such a serious case of criminal damage to an SV, I'd turn you in myself!

Cops near me all have harleys with open pipes. They watch, smiling, when one goes blatting by. Firemen also aspire to fat boy low riders. Same for long haul truckers and merchant mariners. And presbyterian ministers.

Here's a drawing of the original can internals with my mod of adding a larger rear pipe.
