Same as Scoobs...be there, if it ain't peeing down, or likely to.

Aurora added to my post on the South West Surfers site about going along to The Pilot Inn (http://www.thepilot.uk.com/) at Dungeness, rather than stopping at Camber. Pub with massive food!! It is about 10 miles further on from Camber. How about it?

Depends on the weather. But I should be there.

Think its definately worth a visit to The Pilot only a few more miles round the coast. If numbers are likely to be high, will need to inform them beforehand.

There really isn't much in Camber.

No worries, it was just an idea. I'll probably carry on up to The Pilot anyway.

Hi Hall13uk,

Unfortunately, I cannot make your rideout on Sunday 13th Nov, but I wish you a happy birthday :drink:

I was referring to the 20th Nov rideout to Camber. I could of PM'd you and explained the arrangements but i thought it might benefit someone else to know we were meeting prior to the ride to Boxhill.

Hope thats clears things up.

James,

Simple route mate. A24 to the A272.
Then either

A272 to the A281, A281 into Brighton, then follow coast road through Eastbourne/Newhaven etc to Hastings, then A289 out through Rye to Camber

or

A272 to A264 then into Eastbourne then as above

Or

Boxhill - A25 - A21 to hastings then the A289 etc etc

There are a few routes, but those are simple

Sadly im away this weekend otherwise i would try to be there. If you need a hand let me know

thanks fella this was the orignal route http://www.urbanbiker.co.uk/rideouts/camber.htm

but it seems a bit tricky to follow, espically as i noticed a few of the turns are incorrect like right intead of left . it maybe a lot easier to use a simple route like those posted by viney

I know the roads quite well from Box Hill down to the coast. I could lead from Box Hill (A24) down to Horsham (A272) across to Uckfield (A22) down to Polegate. Someone can then pick up the A27 into Bexhill and Hastings.

If TJ and/or Nigel come, they may know the roads better (they ran the recent run up to Horam) and both have experience leading rides, so we could speak nicely to one of them.

I'll bring my big fluro jacket just in case!!

Hi All,

Good rideout, big thanks to James and all for making me feel welcome, nice to put some faces to names.

I decided on the way back I go via Tonbridge Wells, it was very cold. Got home around 5 o'clockish.

Look forward to the next rideout.

Cheers

Firstly I'd like to thank Hall and XVS for organising and getting the run together. Despite the initial cold, the day was good, and rounded off the season well.

I got home ok despite some technical probs.

When we were going past Brighton, I released that my throttle wasn't working properly, it wouldn't shutdown the revs. By the time I had managed to catch up with the others and persuade them to stop, it seems that the cable has probably frayed, and was sticking. So took it steady on the way home, and got here safely.

Can anyone advise how difficult it is to replace the cable myself? Also, which page(s) of the manual shows how to do it, I can't find it in the download section.

Thanks again

Ian
