After fitting the full system, and a soon to come SV1000 snorkel, I want to smooth up the throttle response. What options do I have remap wise?

Just get a Yoshi remap done, you don't need to pay out for a Power Commander... Go to your nearest Dyno Centre & they'll tell you how its done ;)

Hiya

I had mine remapped at Dyna Pro (http://www.dynapro.co.uk/) a couple of months ago, and am very happy with it. I paid £65 and for that got a dyno run as was (just the CCC can), they fitted the BMC filter (that was where the extra fiver cam in) I brought with me and then mapped it using a Teka box and did a final dyno run, I was quite happy with 74bhp and 46 ft/lb (http://homepage.ntlworld.com/iain.mercer/Motorbikes/My%20Bike/SV%20Dyno%20run%20with%20BMC%20filter%20and%20CCC% 20and%20remap.jpg). I should point out that it wasn't perfect first time - a hesitancy/surging around 4500rpm but I went back the following week and they sorted it gratis. :D

They are a dyno manufacturer/engineering firm, and doing dyno runs for Joe Public isn't really their line of business but if you phone 'em up and speak to Mark (top bloke) you may be able to get in there on a Saturday. You could try mentioning they've been recommended by me - if you say I'm the one with the alarm troubles it may raise a laugh!

Oh, and see if you can persuade him to stick his RG500 engined special on the rollers - now that's what a proper bike should sound like!! :D  :D

Call Rob (Berrington Smith Motorcycles) in Hanwell near Ealing, he'll sort it. 07734 915536 or 0208 567 8437. Tell him Steve sent you, he'll see you alright.

I have fitted a CCC can to my bike and over the winter will obtain a BMC/K&N air filter - I am assuming the bike will need dynoing - before I spend the money to get it jetted correctly is there anything else worth doing??
