Unfortunately, I have already promised to play a tennis match this
Saturday + have to set an exam paper.

But the weather is indeed wonderful. It was a joy riding in to work today.

If you are coming from Swansea, then Hirwaun Shell garage is good... those form further East, I will meet at coryton Asdas if need be.. or if Baldyman feels like escorting a few numbers... Will post more details later.. need sleep at the mo.. I feel an impending hangover on the way right now

If you do go out be careful, its flippin cold and the roads are starting to get slippery in places this way. I went for a lovely couple of hours just now but it was very cold and there seemed to be some ice about on the lanes, main roads fine. Very pretty tho here with fog riolling in and out on the levels near Nailsea. Couple of hours was enough tho, hot choccie now!

SHell in Hirwaun for those that know how to get there.. for those that dont, Cardiff way would be best, then I can drag you lot up the A470!

For those who are coming..

If you know how to get to the Shell garage in Hirwaun, I shall meet you there at 11am (ish)

For others, I will meet you down at Coryton Roundabout, off Junction 32 M4 (I think) will have Cardiff & Merthyr Tydfil signed on it, head in towards ASDA, think its the 3rd exit.. stop in the petrol station.. I shall meet you there. at approx 10 ish.. leave at 10.15 if possible.

watch the signs off the M4, as there are a few with Cardiff on them, you want the one that has Cardiff & Merthyr Tydfil on it.. I think its junction 32..

For those who are coming, could you also text me on numbers as to where you would like to meet.. or PM me before 9.15am
either at Hirwaun, or Cardiff. So I have a rough number in my head of who will be going.

If you want more directions, I can post some later if required.

P.S. wear WARM clothing!!

CCCCCCCCCCOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLDDDDDDDDDD!

well, it was a shambles! lol well.. almost! Dangerous Bri and his mate came along, which we lost at the first roundabout... but we caught up with Brian at Llandovery Cafe.. and warmed our hands on mugs of tea!

A nice but cold day.. picture of the day would be my mate on his CBR with plastic bags wrapped round his handle bars for him to keep his hands in!!

As sods law would have it, the Plod were out.. and a biker that overtook us got pulled over with a certain 3 points! crafty policeman was hiding at the side of the road.. on a mile long straight...! so was bound to have caught a few today!

Again, loads of bikers at Llandovery.. even the Ducati lads were out and about  though, it wasnt raining, so that might explain that!

Good to hear you are back safe and sound. Spent the weekend "balancing the books" for being out last weekend.

Was the mile long straight anywhere near that "67mph" piece of road?

valleyboy
20-11-05, 04:35 PM
nope.. luckily.. cos I did *cough* more than 67 along there myself this time!

The biker that was pulled over was asking for it, loads of cars in the other lane were flashing their lights.. so us lot stuck to about 60... one biker didnt, now he has 3 ponts and a £60 fine...

was a very nice sunny, clear day..

pitty about the tempreture!
