Morning all....

Quick question about the state of the engine casing....

It gets proper manky dont it? as of yet i have not found a decent cleaner to remove the baked on ****e......

So does Tar remover work??

If so which one?

if not.. what does remove the crap.. or do i have to remove the engine and have it repainted :lol:

I swear by GP Product's Chain Lube Remover. It's not cheap, butyou don't need much, and it's very effective.

Gunk, slap on in large doses and either scrub off or pressure wash off

I concur. But it has to be applied very generously when dealing with really
sticky stuff like road tar.

Autoglym tar remover is the dogs danglies too.
£5, not that expensive.

I use Parafin to remove the Reindeer poo of the sled!!
