I see from the Suzuki website that the K4 seat cowls are £42 rrp. However my local dealer wants to charge me twice that. Does anyone know where I can get one at a more reasonable price. My dealer says that the £42 is only a suggested price, so that's the last time I use him.
TIA

Any half decent Suzuki dealer will charge you only £42, that is the correct price for it.

I ordered one today from my local dealer for my 04.
He went through the price list and quoted me £42.
There was also one priced at £75 but he seemed to think it was for the earlier model.

Thanks to you all. I'm going to get my local dealer to re-check the price in case he has quoted me for the earlier models cowl. If I get no joy then maybe I'll take up one of the offers you've made. Thanks again

Here is a pic of my K4 SV650S with a Suzuki seat cowl fitted. £42 from my local Suzuki dealer and took about 7 days to arrive. Try to image it with out the Suzuki stickers though as I picked these up at G-Mex earlier this year. The cowl was supplied with the blanking plates for the spaces left by the grab rail.

Here is a link to the image, its about 1MB so be patient.

I got around to fitting my seat cowl today.
Quite easy to fit but the colour match was a mile off (YC2 Blue). The colour on the cowl and the filler panels was way to dark.
I brough it back to the dealer who said that they have had a lot of trouble lately with the colour match not just on the seat cowls but with a few other panels as well. According to the dealer Suzuki have changed to a different supplier for some parts and that is the reason for the difference in the colour.
He ordered another one to see if the colour match will be better it should be here in about a week.

I have a k5 in blue but mine matches perfectly...if you do not get the one u want try Redcar Motorcycles.

Just received a call from the dealer to say that the second seat cowl had arrived from Suzuki.

2 days from ordering to delivery  they told me it would take at least a week.

Of now to the dealer to see what the colour match is like on this one.

I collected the second seat cowl from the dealers and the colour match on this one is a lot better.

When you put both cowls together the first one I got had more of a purple tint from it but the second one does not have this effect.

The dealer tried both cowls on a blue 04 SV that was in the showroom and there was no argument as to which one matched better.
A big thank you to the dealer for getting it sorted quickly.

Anyone know where to get an SV650S K2 curvy seat cowl, the only place I've seen them is eBay and that's for silly money!

Well, after enquirying with Redcar Suzuki they tell me that

"sorry the seat civer in yc2 has been discontinued by suzuki europe" which may go someway to explaining why the prices are rising.
