Dont do that! Do you use it every day? If it's just sitting for winter mainly I could look after it for you until you find a garage or something?

What a nice offer Rich, you really are a jolly good egg.

Anna, if you take up his offer, be warned he might just polish it away. :D

Dont sell it Anna, especially not at this time of year you'll get naff all for it.

Get it put right keep it till the spring and then if you still feel the same sell it then.

I know how you feel I've been having series of nagging little issues with mine that are really begining to naff me off now

Its disheartening isnt it

Okay after a deep breath and time to think a bit I have booked it into the garage tomorrow (more time of work!!) and will get home start to come out and charge it as I think it will start with a jump from the lorry I think I have worked out what is wrong so that should save me labour costs if nothing else.

Thank you for your very kind off Rich I will let you know if I need to take you up on that after it comes out of the menders and I will have another look at the damage tomorrow morning.

Fizz I know your right it is the wrong time of year and perhaps it is just because I have had so many things go wrong with it that I am feeling like this...when I came to it this morning I just thought here we go again!! (and I really hate feeling miserable about something that normally gives me so much fun!)

Mines just little niggles though nothing major like you've been putting up with.

I am sorry to hear of your latest problem, Anna. :( Do you think the
local kids knocked your bike over or was it a natural process?

I think you should take up Rich's kind offer. I myself am not
offering to share my garage with you because Mrs Professor might
not appreciate this.

Well as you know I live out of town so its probably inconvenient for daily use (well totally  ) but should you wish to house it somewhere until the next riding season I have room. I can let you have a key so you could come and use it as much as you wanted to / fix it etc if you wanted no bother in any case.

So see how it goes.

(oh and its better to sell nearer spring, in any case).

It was knocked off by a car trying to pull out of its space and not bothering to reverse enough!.. just anoying that they didnt leave any details and I got there too late! :?

 Not more bad luck......

Have you considered having a local priest perform an exorcism on the damn thing? I swear its cursed or something.

Hope you get it sorted and I'd let you use my garage too but the distance is kinda impractical though.

good luck

....cursed isnt the word... I came to it this morning to have it recovered to garage and it was on the floor again   .. I swear this is the stuff horror films are made out of..

This time my lovely black double bubble screen was shattered!

I took it to the garage and the lads took one look at me and took the keys made me a cuppa and told me they would call me later to discuss what I wanted to do with it.. I couldnt even tell them what work I needed done to it!

Anna that sucks big style

:grouphug:

Is it the same story as the other day it got bumped by a car ?

pingu

The bike hasn't been lowered by any chance has it?

Was wondering if this was causing a stability issue and a strong wind might take it over?

Sorry to hear of your problems, I am sure its just a period of bad luck.

Chris

fizz yes it is but I know who did it this time.. there was a car parked with boot to bike so I know they reversed to get out of the space and knocked it over!!.. I have taken photos and will report it this time..

have found double bubble on ebay and will get it delivered straight to garage also looking out for crash bungs!!

fizzwheel

Do you reckon its the same person as it was the other day

If so I hope you get some money out of them

I'd go one further, I'd sit and wait for them to come back and park their car and then speak to them face to face.

Once is acceptabe as an accident but twice is taking the P*ss IMHO

valleyboy

:?

Defo report it to the Police first, then confront them.. if they get iffy and wont cough up their details.. then tell them its in the Police's hands for failing to stop/report an accident. Hopefuly, they will be a bit more forthecoming with their details after that.

Failing that, send round the heavies

Also, Pingu did bring up a good point, if the bike is lowered, then the side stand will also need shortening.. otherwise the bike will sit too upright.

As for crash bungs, I think R&G's for the curveys are approx £70 squid.. and need some drilling to the fairing. Though they have newer model ones out now which have a mounting bracket on it..

Thanks Rich I am in Portugal right now

The bike is currently with the garage and they are sorting her out so that fingers crossed she will be ready for me when I get back home..

I will let you know when I get back if storage will be necessary I may have a few ideas.. there is a garage I can rent but it is for £65 a month so I am hoping there is someone arround who would like to share it with me..as I dont need a full garage for the bike.

Just organising next years stint .. uk to al garve riding through europe!!... have to make sure bike is working perfectly for that one!!!

If not you could always trade it in for the Goldwing I saw upstairs in Fowlers today... no chance of someone not seeing it when they're parking!

anna

well back of hols now...and still no bike

Suzuki are being particularly rubbish in getting parts delivered and on back order so goodness knows how long this is going to take!!!! (there is a good chance I will be without bike until new year now!)

Fizz... have you got your bike sorted out now?

Rich .. thanks for the offer will keep you updated.

fizzwheel
20-12-05, 11:58 PM
No still not got it back...

Its been serviced
Had new brake discs and pads fitted
R & G's fitted

When they were looking at it they found that the speedo sensors bust again, ( 2nd one in 12 months )
Also they found an engine bolt thats sheared off ( long story involving lower fairings that I wont bore you with ) and they cant get it out and are now talking about dropping they head off the front pot to get it out

fizzwheel
23-12-05, 09:41 AM
I've got my bike back

They got the bust bolt out without taking the head off

valleyboy
23-12-05, 09:46 AM
Thats good news Fizz :)

Mine should be back on the road in propper working condition after christmas I hope.. replace a warped disc (you dont want to know how expensive ZX-6R discs are!!!) put some sintered brake pads on, and some braided lines on the front.... plus its major service...

At the moment its hiding in my garage under some bed sheets.. as my Nan will be staying with us shortly... and she doesnt know I have a bike! :?

fizzwheel
23-12-05, 11:09 AM
Cool, expensive dont get me started....

I just had to shell out for this lot

34K service
New front discs
Sintered Pads
Speedo Sensor

I also had R & G's fitted whilst I was at it

They didnt charge me for sorting out the bust bolt though so that was a result

Was rather expensive though
