About Nick Sanders:
Nick a close friend of mine is now the fastest man around the world by motorcycle. Using his Yamaha YZF R1.
He made the trip in 19 days 3 hours and 25 minutes with a total mileage of 19,650,
reclaiming his original record set in 1997 of 31 days that was beaten in 2002.
As you may know from the SV1000 forum and http://www.sv1000.zyns.com/forums/showthread.php?t=12948&highlight=sahara I travelled to Morocco with Nick and on a couple of his tours,(It was on this forum but its now missing) I am now delighted to be able to offer you this chance to buy the book and/or DVD of the story of his record-breaking round the world trip in 2005.

And for anyone who wanders what a 19650 mile R1 looks like:-

Took the photo at NEC - the bike was actually in a pretty good condition (considering the hammering that Nick had given it)

What you didn’t know was that as soon as he got home from the record breaking RTW he took a group of riders down to Istanbul and back 5500 miles then as soon as he got back from that one another group around the coast of England Scotland and Wales. Then another group around Morocco all on the same R1.
He said to me last week that he needs to get over 50k on the bike then Yamaha wont want it back. It’s done over 39000 miles now and he only got it in May.

Oh one more thing don’t know if you spotted the right hand mirror was bust off you can see it in mattSV picture. The only damage to have happened to the bike. It fell over in the van on the way to the NEC.
