As you know passed my test couple of weeks ago. Mr is keen to put as much protection on my SV as possible (If he could,he would wrap it in cotton wool) Does anyone know which offers the most protection R & G crash bungs or the Suzuki crash/engine bars?

Dont whatever you do put suzuki crash bungs on it, they are and I speak from experience utter sh*t

R & G's will be much better

Suzuki call them crash bungs but they are actualy only good enough to hold the fairing on and thats all.

There is a bit of good talk and bad talk on the R&G bungs even the new ones, if they are actualy up to the job. If you have a fully faired bike then its realy only only choice, unless you want to start cutting the fairing. Otherwise SidSquid says that the bungs from JHS racing are probably better and will withstand a crash better than R&Gs. You will need to call them though as i cant find them on their website any more.

Im looking at Motrax DHMs. Theyre half the price of R&Gs and look pretty sturdy. I think a few on here have given positive responses on them

The DHMs for the pointy model seem OK. I'm going to carry on my campaign of whoring for Motosliders, they're dirt cheap and they've got a superb rep in the states. Not tested mine yet... But it's only a matter of time :)
