new glasgow member

hiya ppl im a new member to this site. from what Ive sn itlooks like 1 of the best sv resources on the web. Ive got a oct 2004 sv650s k4 in candy blue bought from west coast in irvine- great garage and ppl. U mite c me riding through glasgow on commute- I wear alpinestars leathers blue/white /black stripe. I recently saw a blue K% up gt western road- dont know if hes on here.
If any 1 wants to meet up ill b happy to go out for a ride someplace!

hey jim i live in bearsden just north of glasgow- im 6ft 5 with blue/black/white leathers. ride around glasgow quite alot. what do u ride?

6 ft 5 :shock: i ride a yellow curvy,black/yellow leathers and a multi coloured arai,im just a shortie at around 6' ,..do you find the sv a bit wee at 6'5 ??must b like a toy under you ,i would guess your a fair weight as well (im about 13st)hows your fork springs ?ah, bearsden ,stockiemuir rd one of my regular routes ,carbeth inn ,drymen,callander,blah,blah,blah :wink:

no mate believe it or not i find the sv quite roomy!! Im going for a gixxer 600 next!! I only weigh 131/2 stone -24 so still quite lean!!
yeah stockiemuir road is good but very dangerous!! Where abouts in glasgow u from?

,now theres a road that would b a bit risky, watch those tour buses

*just through callander ,turn right up hill from main st,basically **** maself on that ,u cant get any speed up as its v,v twisty with BIG,BIGdrop offs and no barriers :shock:have u been on a gixxer6?my mates got one and its teeny honestly really small ,goes like crazy though makes u want to go mega fast, :wink:

I know exactly where u are mate. my g/f lives in ibrox. I know the road u mean coming out of callender. It is really scary. The surfaces there arent that gd either :roll: Yeah i test rode a gixxer this year from west coast but im gonna get the new k6 versions. it rocks svracer

np nutty. i use my bike all year round- even tried ice riding with it last year!! ive done nearly 9000 miles on my baby since last october. u mite well c me on a run- i always go to the glasgow egg run in march. should have a new bike by then tho. SVRACERS

If you wear a nice fancy Shoei / Arai helmet and the K5 ended up stopped at the side of the road around Kirklee post office, it was me. 8)

I was waiting for the good lady (Quedos), who it turns out got cut up THREE times by one car (whose roof she banged on angrily!) and had to shoot off down Crow Rd instead - fishtailing as she went :twisted:

We had been down to Helensburgh and a run over the military road. It was baltic after the sun went in - had on summer gloves :(

Welcome aboard sir - though watch the abbreviated text - that'll get you a wrap on the knuckles. :wink:

yeah mate that was me i turned right past one devonshire gardens in great western road. that was a nice looking k5 u had- ive now got a gixxer on order will miss the sv when it goes. believe it or not im still out on the roads on my sv- the finish is bearing up remarkably well. though i do clean it most days :lol: SVRACERS

Welcome to a great site!

Its that time of year that you go to work in the dark and come home in the dark, they've got a name fur it now Seasonal Affected Disorder. The highlight for my commute is revving to 6000rpm on the m77 or nearly double that in the Clyde tunnel :lol: :roll: :oops: (Old enough to know better?!).

Pointy K3 which is bearing up well.

Need to keep it in good nick for all these ride-outs we are talking about!!
