That really just looks ****... Like those bikes you sometimes see with half a 916 fairing wedged on the front. No consideration at all for the lines of the bike, so they whole think just looks like a mishmash. If they'd done the tail section it'd be miles better, mind...
Oh dear..................never mind

In my opinion almost anything looks better than the curvy fairing...

What it needs, I think, is an angular beam frame to give it a more modern look.

I concur
Yuck, why go and do that, someone got a replacement front end and forgot to take note of the year model!
Get it changed pronto
I think it looks good from this angle. Haven't seen it from the side though. I don't agree that the lines don't follow, in fact from this angle I find it an improvement on the 1st gen front. I think a bike with a fairing will age quicker than a classic naked bike with round headlights. That's because bikers are a conservative lot in general. However a design with a mix of curves and angles would be more long lasting and has a better chance of becoming a classic. Angles give an aggressive look and curves give a solid, feminin feel which effects us male riders subcontiously. A mix is great. Don't be hard on the guy. He got a mix of both. A pity Suzuki didn't keep the curvy frame and sharpened up the front (an upside down fork would have been nice too). Thats what most of us 1st gen riders really wanted. Come on admit it guys!

That looks a bit like 21Quest's bike...

Not exactly, but similiar... He uses a cut-down standard fairing. There's pictures, but I'm not sure where. His thou's nicer though

That is possibly the dirtiest curvy I have ever seen, closely followed by zunkus's buell-esque creation.

Now this all depends by what you mean 'dirty', is it in a good sense or bad? Either way I'm taking the plung and doing the conversion just the same. The way my bike is at the moment its very hard to see the back through the mirrors since I converted to clip-ons and the screen should provide me with a little more protection than my round headlight can. To top it all off I always was a sucker for dual headlights and if you're going to tell me that I should have bought the SV650S than the naked my reply would be that i didn't because I thought the faired bike looks somewhat bulky at the front. But that's me.
