Hello folks

Said a wee while back (on SVECOSSE) that I would post some pics of the new lights/indicators/mirrors that I was fitting.

Managed to finish them last week.

Top tip...
when testing the lights etc, dont leave the ignition on for too long !!!

wee mistake = battery flat as a witches t*ts = optimate 3 = 45 quid !

Anyway, what do you think ?

Cloggsy, yep, thats the next project, have checked out loads of different makes but like the Blue Flame Evo3 job or one by the Carbon Can Co.

Lookin at the possibility of making it a twin pipe jobby like the SV1000

Didge - the LED indicators are Motrax - 30 quid a pair, the mirrors also Motrax - 30 quid each and the rear light unit 58 quid from Clear Alternatives via eBay (comes with 2 resistors needed to slow the blink rate down)

Interesting combination with the mirror indicators and normal indicators. Though the mirrors do look quite good on it, did you consider just the mirror indicators only on it without the pointy indicators?

I really like what u did with the rear but not keen on the mirror indies. Maybe u should have got short stem leds for the front....thats what i am doing this week

Falc - TC3

Yep, thought of removing the front indicators then also thought of just fitting the shorter stem ones but in the end, just done it as is.

Probably will get fed up with them or change them when some different bling comes out :?

IMO, any additional lighting (signals or otherwise) is going to help somebody either see you, or see that you are turning. Having indicators in the mirrors raises the level of the signal to one which is more in line with the vision of oncoming drivers.

Personally, I think it looks ace.. Well done, good job.

Just out of curiosity, what happens if you switch your hazards on and brake at the same time? Does the rear light swap between yellow and red?

Apologies for somewhat anal question....but it was bugging me :D

I'm considering mirrors like yours for my bike. Can you tell me where u got them as I can't see them on the Motrax website.

Scooby, where did you get the clear tail light from? And does anyone know if it's possible to just wire the tail/stop light and leave the indicators disconnected?

I think this would look really good on a black K5.

Si-dall, yep, your right, cant find them on the motrax site but they were def there a couple of weeks ago. They will maybe re-appear soon as I noticed that part of the site is marked "under construction"

J&S stock them, 30 quid each

El Saxo - got the clear back light unit via ebay, was 58 quid on a free delivery and yes, when fitting/wiring you have the option of wiring in the indicators or running light/brake light only

If you guys need any fitting info then give me a shout and I will send the fitting instructions (home made but quite clear)
