I'm sure that plenty may be interested. From my point of view, Sunday is better, since I often have work on a Saturday these days.

Does anyone have a crystal weather ball? I'd like for it not only to be dry, but also a LITTLE less cold than Sunday there was.

I can imagine a band of bikers with ever-expanding waistlines  eventually getting a special discount!

Cheers,

Garry

I don't get home till the 16th of Feb. so I can't make it  But I will be home for two weeks then and up for a run anytime :) That's if you all don't freeze out there, it does tend to be on the chilly side at this time but I hope you all have a great time. I will be out and about in the next two weeks getting some miles in before I go away so hope to see some of you out there....

I've stuck a thread (http://forums.sv650.org/viewtopic.php?t=32319) with confirmed details of this year's ICR.

We still need to confirm meeting points and a route.

There are also a number of regulars who're notable by their absence. Tony, Jimmy, Drew, to name but a few.

This is gonna seem like a stoopid question but where are we going for it? If it is St Andrews then would it not be better to meet at Kinross Services rather than Stirling per the other thread. Or have I missed a post

Hi,

Suggested Route Below.

ICE CREAM RUN (http://mysite.wanadoo-members.co.uk/gran****son/SVEcosseIceCreamRun.htm)

northwind
23-01-06, 12:48 PM
ABout what time does that put us at the ice cream shop? I'm thinking I might head back along the coast, cut down to Largo and work along from there- some nice roads on the tourist trail there. That's if I've not blacked out from hypothermia, or crashed, or stayed in bed.

Blue Flame
23-01-06, 01:28 PM
12:28 .......according to the map

That of course doesn't take into account the following:

a. Assumes we leave Kinross on time. :riding:

b. Stopping 'at the front' for a photo call.

c. All assumes we travel at ther average speeds set into the routefinder. But an hour would be about right I think.

I didn't bother putting a return route on because I reckoned some peeps will want to head straight home, some will want to go the 'east neuk' route and some will want to go to Cupar Motorcycles.

As a fuel/tyre conservation effort I am limiting myself to 6500RPM - which equates to about 70 in top. As it was -1C this morning, it was quite fast enough. My fuel consumption has improved to 40mpg  It is normally around 30-35

Saw one of those accidents last week, a head-on near Oxton, a woman trapped in one of the cars. It happened about a minute before I got there...

Is the pub neutral or biased to either end of Glasgow, could be fun either way :Dthe pub is listed somewhere as being a celtic bar but there is a significant minority of rangers suppporters - they mix fairly well but I still consider it prudent to keep my head down during the last 15 minutes or so of the old firm games if both sets of supporters are watching the match together

The main street in Cupar is being dug up due to sewage problems at the moment. You can get to St Andrews from Cupar but it's all one way, and the traffic is chaos. Getting back from St Andrews to the likes of Cupar Motorcycles is mayhem, as they've (council) have blocked off access to the main street, so you've to divert via Tesco, and back through the high street, or find a rat run of a back street.

There's not even proper diversion routes setup, so people who want to go to Cupar Motorcycles and follow the "all other routes" diversion sign will end in Glenrothes via the A914. I came across this today in the artic, and got stuck behind an old granny doing 35 in a 60 zone the whole way from Cupar to Glenrothes (12 miles    ). That f****d up my tacho driving time major leage time, as I couldn't get passed the old dear due to oncoming traffic and the twisty road. Pity what the 40 odd cars behind me thought of the old granny. VOTE FOR COMPULSORY DRIVING RE-TESTS WHEN YOU GET TO OVER 60 YEARS OF AGE.............. then the roads would flow quicker..

Might have to work on Sunday :x , but if the weather is decent, then the hell with work - see you all at Kinross or wherever...

At the ice cream shop (on your Left) straight through along to the end of the road headin for the coast then turn right and its down that road a bit on the right he says it looks tiny from the outside with a tiny bar but restaurant is big and the food realy good he can't remember the name but says there's a very low wall in front of it and that bikers are welcome.
