There was a barbers in Paisley (13 miles SW of Glasgow) like this for a few months last year (2004).

It was called 'A bit off the top' as the women were always topless.

I'm not joking!

The statutory joke of 'a cut n blow j*b' did the rounds for a while.

Think it was £25 for a haircut.

Shut down though due to protests (by women obviously) & (surprisingly) lack of custom!

When I worked in China, a hairdressors salon was for back room use. If you actually wanted your hair cut you saw the guy with the sissors and stool on the street corner.

My boss used to get his "hair cut" twice a week, never looked any different exept for the smile on his face afterward.
